Florinda Meza

Florinda Meza Garca is a Mexican actress, television producer, and screenwriter. She is best known as Doa Florinda in El Chavo del Ocho, La Chimoltrufia in Chespirito, and other various roles in El Chapuln Colorado.

Meza was born in Juchipila, Zacatecas, the daughter of Emilia Garca. She was cast by Roberto Gmez Bolaos to play Doa Florinda in the Televisa sitcom El Chavo del Ocho, which became a major international hit. The show lasted from 1972 to 1980 , during which she and Gmez Bolaos began a lifelong romance that never produced any children. During her tenure on the Chespirito television series, she was also known to have played dgar Vivars character Botijas wife Mara Expropiacin Petronila Lascurin y Torquemada, famously known as La Chimoltrufia Meza also participated prominently in Chespiritos other main sitcom, El Chapuln Colorado.
